Day 2 in Da Nang, Vietnam
Ba Na Hills (My mountain) - Old French colony , Golden Bridge , Sunworld Amusement Park (Resort and recreational complex) - Completely Touristy Destination
Ba na Hill Official Website here is the link of the official website, where in you can get information about the destination, charges, timings etc.
It has cable car, hill station, The World famous Golden bridge - architectural wonder, Old French village, amusement park, Buddha Statue, Flower park, and resort. So in all it is a combination of Nature, architecture, culture, spirituality and cuisine.
Ba na Hills - Entrance was approximately 40km - 1.5 hrs away from the Hotel Eden Ocean View, where we stayed. We checked out from the hotel around 8am after breakfast, loaded the luggage in the luggage cabin of bus, as we had a domestic flight to catch in the evening from Da Nang Airport to Hanoi- Capital of Vietnam.
There is an attractive lobby at the foot of the hills... From here, we have to go by cable car. The lobby to the cable car station is a little distance away but very well decorated with artistic sense and its entertaining walk.
The distance of the journey of this cable car is twenty-five kilometers (1500m approx altitutde)and it takes about twenty to twenty five minutes to get into it and go up to the first stage... This cable car is among the top ten cable cars in the world.
At the time of climbing up,the climate was very foggy and rainy, due to the fierce fog outside, the pleasant view around was invisible..
Once you reach at the top of first level, there are many attractive shops in a large circular hall adjacent to the cable car station. And then comes..
The Golden Bridge... The structure of this bridge is astonishing as two stones coming out of the stomach of the mountain... It is indeed the marvel of architecture and art to stand in such a high place... You can walk on this bridge... From this bridge, you get to see the amazing beauty of the city of The Da Nang, which we were not able to as it was foggy and windy that day. People pass time here, take pictures and believe me on a crowdy day you have to wait in the queue to take a pic without strangers peeping in.. 😁
Linh Ung Pagoda and Lord Buddha Statue
Flower garden of Le Jardin d’amour
After spending some time here, and an ice cream break, we proceeded to the second stage above. There is another cable car going up from here to the second stage...This place is a storehouse of compassion... Amusement parks, gaming zones, many restaurants, cafes, shopping and very expensive resort to stay as well all there. https://www.mercure-danang-banahills-french-village.com/
French Village at Sun World Ba Na Hills is a replica of classical and romantic France in our fantasy, through a string of peculiar architectural clusters: the square, cathedral, town, village and hotels. Designed and built according to the Gothic architecture of the nineteenth century, the French Village.
Fantasy Park - It has a lot of in door 3D, 4D and 5D games,
- Level 1: Thrill Zone – Here you will find a maze of glass and mirrors, a small dinosaur world, bumper cars and various arcade games.
- Level: 2 Spirit Of Adventure – Here are 4D and 5D cinemas and carousels and obstacle courses especially for toddlers and young children.
- Level 3: Mystery World – This level has a 3D Mega 360 Cinema, Drop and Twist Tower, House of the Dead, rock climbing, Adventure to the Center of the Earth and many video arcades.
The most interesting and exhilarating is the drop and twist tower
We still missed the Alpine roller coaster, which is the largest tourist attraction, due to weather conditions.
On the returning way, the weather was better and we could see nature around.
While returning down by cable car, you have to walk a lot to reach the parking lot, many escalators down and down, finally yor reach the exit point. Still lots of new things are planned and construction is in full swing, so may be after 2-3 years it'll be fun to be here again...
After spending whole day at Ba Na Hills, we went directly to Da Nang Domestic Airport (Domestic and International terminal of airports are just next to each other. No security as such by mistake we entered International terminal, no one to ask for, then came outside, without no one to ask for). We caught our flight in the evening around 7.30pm to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam.
